Lepän uni / Grey alder’s dream

Glazed ceramics, clay, dried plants, grey alder seeds

A ceramic sculpture in which companion species of grey alder have morphed together. The piece is surrounded by a spiral of clay eggs, each containing an alder seed. Visitors could take one egg and plant it in a place of their choosing.

It is the nature of a grey alder to thrive in open areas and improve the soil for species to come, laying the groundwork for future forests.

The exhibition is supported by Kone Foundation.
